Got an ALLRAD preset pack? Here's how to load it into Adobe Lightroom and start editing in a couple of minutes.
Your pack includes 27 colour presets plus 27 with film grain already applied. The grain versions let you hover-preview the grainy look instantly instead of adding grain by hand every time - and the FILM looks especially shine with grain.
Installing the presets
- Open Lightroom Classic and switch to the Develop module (shortcut: D).
- In the Presets panel on the left, click the + icon and choose Import Presets.
- Select the downloaded preset files or the whole folder - Colour and Grain presets can be imported together - and click Import.
- Hover any preset to preview it in the Navigator (top-left), click to apply, and adjust intensity to taste.
Colour presets vs Grain presets
Colour presets give a clean grade with no texture - perfect for modern, minimal edits. Grain presets have authentic film grain baked in, so you can preview the grainy look in a single hover. You can also apply a Colour preset first and stack the matching Grain preset on top for a vintage, filmic feel.
Getting the best from your presets
Presets give you the overall look, but white balance and exposure change shot to shot. Most use 'As Shot' white balance - if the colour looks off, nudge Temp/Tint or switch to Auto. Exposure and contrast are the main sliders to fine-tune to match the feel of your image. And if you shot with the matching LUT in-camera, the preset will line up very closely with your JPEG - a consistent look from camera to edit.
